The Straight Gate Project works to provide housing for ex-offenders who have
committed or recommitted their lives to Christ while incarcerated and have come
under the sponsorshipof area prison and recovery ministries, such as A Lasting
Solution, Project S.A.L.T. (Saving A Life in Transition), A Second Chance, and
others. Decent, appropriate housing in a supportive environment during the
early months of their release is one of the most crucial of all necessities for
Christian ex-offenders, if they are to have any real life of productive citizenship
inside the law and outside of prison. It is crucial to changing and, sometimes, to
saving lives. The Straight Gate Project has directly served more than 100
sponsored residents oer the past two years.
